WHICH LAG DO YOU HAVE?

THE GAME IS SLOW OR STUTTERSLow FPS: your device draws the game too slowly. Follow steps 1 to 7. PLAYERS TELEPORT, YOUR HITS COME LATEHigh ping: your connection is too slow. Go to Network lags.

1TURN ON HARDWARE ACCELERATIONBIGGEST FIX

Without it, your processor draws the game instead of your graphics card, and the game gets much slower.

Browsers do not let a website open their settings for you: click COPY, paste the address in the address bar (Ctrl + V) and press Enter.

Chrome

  1. Copy and open chrome://settings/system
  2. Turn on Use graphics acceleration when available.
  3. Click Relaunch.

Edge

  1. Copy and open edge://settings/system
  2. Turn on Use graphics acceleration when available.
  3. Click Restart.

Opera

  1. Copy and open opera://settings/?search=hardware
  2. Turn on Use hardware acceleration when available.
  3. Close Opera and open it again.

Brave

  1. Copy and open brave://settings/system
  2. Turn on Use graphics acceleration when available.
  3. Click Relaunch.

Firefox

  1. Copy and open about:preferences
  2. Scroll down to Performance and untick Use recommended performance settings.
  3. Tick Use hardware acceleration when available.
  4. Close Firefox and open it again.

Safari

Nothing to do: Safari always uses your graphics card. Go to step 2.

Did it work? Reload this page: the Graphics card line of your browser check must be green. In the game, open the settings, then Graphics: at the bottom, Your device must show the name of your graphics card.

2LOWER THE GRAPHICS OF THE GAME30 SECONDS

The game draws fewer pixels and fewer effects: it is the fastest way to get more FPS.

Open the Graphics settings

Click the gear gear on the homepage or in game, then the Graphics tab.

Choose 1 Low quality mode. Still lagging? Choose 2 Very Low quality mode, then 3 Potato mode.

On your screen, in fullscreen, the game draws:

Never pick HD mode if the game lags.

Graphics Quality

Turn off every switch, except Display HUD: the card shows 1 / 14 on. Keep the Vignette Effect and Light Effect switches off too. Do not turn on Disable Transparency: it makes the game slower.

WebGL

Enable WebGL switch of the game

Enable WebGL makes the game faster on some devices and slower on others. Play a minute with it on, a minute with it off, and keep the smoother one.

Audio

In the Audio tab, turn off Load SFX and Load Music: the game loads fewer files and uses less memory.

The switches with a * work after a refresh of the page: press F5.

3USE THE FULL POWER OF YOUR COMPUTERLAPTOPS

To save battery, laptops and browsers slow down. Energy Saver can limit the game to 30 FPS.

  1. Plug in your charger while you play.
  2. Turn off Energy Saver: copy and open chrome://settings/performance Chrome settings: Energy Saver turned off
    • Edge: open edge://settings/system and turn off Efficiency mode.
    • Opera: turn off Battery saver. Opera GX: in GX Control, turn off the RAM, CPU and Network limiters.
    • Mac: System Settings > Battery > Low Power Mode: Never.
  3. Windows laptops with 2 graphics cards: open the Graphics settings of Windows (Settings > System > Display > Graphics). Click your browser (add it with Browse if it is not in the list), choose High performance, then restart your browser.
  4. Windows: Settings > System > Power > Power mode: Best performance.

4CLOSE WHAT RUNS IN THE BACKGROUND

Every tab, app and extension takes a part of your computer.

  1. Close the other tabs, above all videos and streams.
  2. Close the other apps and games. Pause the downloads and updates (Steam, Windows Update...).
  3. Test without extensions: open a private window with Ctrl + Shift + N (Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P) and play there. You are not logged in there, it is only a test.
  4. Smoother? An extension slows you down: copy and open chrome://extensions and turn off the ones you do not need while you play (Firefox: about:addons). Chrome extensions page: the switch of an extension turned off

5ZOOM 100% AND FULLSCREEN10 SECONDS

  1. Press Ctrl + 0 to set the zoom to 100% (Mac: Cmd + 0). Under 100%, the game draws more pixels.
  2. Press F11 to switch fullscreen on and off (Mac: Ctrl + Cmd + F). Some computers run the game faster in fullscreen, others in a window: keep the smoother one.

6UPDATE YOUR BROWSER AND YOUR DRIVERS

Each update makes the browsers and the graphics cards faster. Chrome and Edge run Taming.io best.

  1. Update your browser: copy and open chrome://settings/help (Edge: edge://settings/help, Firefox: Menu > Help > About Firefox). It updates by itself, then click Relaunch.
  2. Update the driver of your graphics card with Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates, or with the app of your card: NVIDIA, AMD, Intel.

7CHROME FLAGSIF STEP 1 WAS NOT ENOUGH

The Graphics card line is still red? Chrome may block your graphics card: you can force it.

  1. Copy and open chrome://flags/#ignore-gpu-blocklist and choose Enabled.
  2. Copy and open chrome://flags/#enable-gpu-rasterization and choose Enabled.
  3. Copy and open chrome://flags/#disable-accelerated-2d-canvas: it must stay Enabled.
  4. Click Relaunch.

Something goes wrong? Open chrome://flags and click Reset all, at the top.

!NETWORK LAGSHIGH PING

The game freezes then jumps, players teleport, your hits come late? Your connection is the problem, not your computer.

  1. Pick a close server: click the server at the top left of the homepage, click Ping to sort the servers, and choose one with green bars green bars. These ones are slower: yellow bars orange bars red bars
  2. Stop the downloads, videos and streams on your network, on all your devices (ask your family too).
  3. Use a cable, or a 5 GHz Wi-Fi close to your router.
  4. Turn off your VPN or your proxy.
  5. Still slow? Restart your router.
